From "The Podcast Archive Evaluation Vol. 6, 2009"

"...and America's favorite nonsense-cast 'Long distance Relationship' hit their peak in episode 35. Their storytelling was so revealing that in just listening to their tales of woe and love THEY WILL SHOW YOU WHAT THE HUMAN SOUL MEANS. Their opinions of music and movies will make you appreciate art like it was a beam from heaven. And they end the episode by teleporting right next to each other and battling to the death using nothing but a butter knife and a candle. This reviewer was also high on mescaline whilst listening to this episode."

STORYTELLING:
Fools, of the workplace, a back alley urination citation, elderly massacre on bikes!, bowling for birthdays, Steve launches a lifetime war against fashion, 'Basketball' by Bill Simmons, The bathmat/ patio incident, The Benevolent Charity of Friends' Bands Shows, an invitation to stalk, Neil Hamburger and the Onion's AV Club comedy Album List.

MOVIES: The movies we haven't seen yet, "The Best Worst Movie" and "Troll 2"

MUSIC:
Part-Chimp, Black Heart Procession Live, Eric's irrational division of The Blues, The Crooked Vultures, and The Williams Legacy.

COMICS:
Eric and Steve love Hickman's run on "Fantastic Four". DOOM DOES NOT!

The hosts of LDR would like to apologize to readers. This weeks liner notes are going to be super lame, as we are both on planes by the time this hits the inter-waves. -Eric couldn't be more sick of teenagers.
-Steve explains how Soft Core Porn is the key to a happy marriage.

- Musings about Rancid's most recent release.
-Eric breaks down the deaths of Biggie and Pac.
FILMS:
-'Nothing But Trouble'
-'Innocent Blood' and the films of John Landis.
-'Mad Men', 'Dexter' and more on the phenom 'True Blood' (not the primetime tennis comedy 'Phenom')
COMICS:

EP 29: "whiskey Gods"

Dearest Whiskey Gods:

Steven Earl and Eric have always had faith in your treasures and been loyal acolytes. This week, we are joined by Gregory Chambers in our fellowship of worship. Eric takes a seat in the peanut gallery and the Brothers McChambers provide the greatest bulk of oration.

You are spiteful and vengeful and we fear you. We look to your gifts of false confidence and temporary invulnerability as we offer up a bounty of offerings in addition to our usual collection baskets full of cash and dignity.

This week, we have placed the following sacrifices onto the Altar of Evan Williams:

Stories:

Greg spends his Labor Day floating down a river of beer and sees an uneven number of breasts. Steven has a night of the Holy W and Metal and ends the nights with a wet dream, so to speak. Eric teaches 6 year olds high stakes games of chance. We also dissect more criticisms of our show thanks to the good folks at 'Edgy Podcast Reviews'.

Films:

"The Hammer". We still haven't seen "Inglorious Basterds" but we do take a moment to discuss our favorite Tarentino movies. "The Longest Day". "The Big Blue".

Scriptures:

Daredevil.

Sports:

Prince Fielder's shenanigans. The futures of the Brothers McChambers' Bay Area sport teams. Also, a tale about when Steve and Greg went into a night club and met Rollie Fingers. Then, to their surprise, Fingers beat them, and that made them love him even more.

Hymns of Faith:

Grayceon, Gorgoroth, Raekwon, and Johnny Cash.

Thank you for accepting our sacrifices, Whiskey Gods. As usual we will expect your return to be lacking in comparison to our offerings.

Dear Cultural Society of America, Hello. My name is Long Distance Relationship. I am the audible love child of two drunkards that are the best of friends. I am a podcast that chronicles their lives apart and attempts to solidify their future in the cement of time. I am the story of America, The Plight of the Oppressed, The Struggle of Man. I am the LDR Podcast. Each week, I will enrich the listeners with spirited tales of people living lives. I will judges mediums such as comics, films, and music. But mostly, I will judge other people. People who are less cool than the concept of I. This week, I will water the fertilizer of man with the following droplets: STORYTELLING: Steve's eternal struggle for home internet, Eric's big career....change, Methheads on the 49, Eric's classic betrayal, sneaking a peak at scrambled SPICE CHANNEL, Juggalo Regulations, sleep paralysis and the existence of extra-terrastials, la bonita mamasita, and three Mr. Show references (can you spot them all ?). MOVIES: "Avatar" and James Cameron's body of work, "true Lies", "The Long Goodbye", "Sorcerer", "District 9", Jeff Ross and the "Comedy Central Roast". COMICS: "Captain America: Truth", "Elephantmen" and "Hipflask", Brubaker's "Marvels Project". Plus two heated nerd-offs. They're like stand-offs, only with nerds: "Marvel's penchant for reality", and "Spider-Man is cool or isn't he". SOUNDTRACK: Pissed Pants, Peter Gabriel, Peter and the Wolf, Prefuse 73, Method Man, Tangerine Dream. So please consider my proposition to make myself, the LDR podcast, mandatory for all American citizens in an attempt to force a level of culture amongst all the citizens of this great country. Thank you. LDR. _PROPOSAL DENIED_ Follow us on twitter. WRITE ITUNES REVIEWS WE NEED THEM SO STRANGERS CAN BE MOLESTED BY OUR WORDS!!!!
EP 26: I don't even remember what it was called

Do you like torn knuckles? How about severed teeth? Do you love the sound of flesh pounding against flesh (in a violent, non-sexy way)? Do you like D-Bag fans who paint their face and scream for blood?! It's fight night tonight on Long Distance Relationship. In the left corner Eric "The Gall Bladder" Anderson, the lovable scrapper from the Shire. Known for his famous move: The Stump Juggler. He has also been known to tug on piercings and insult opponent's handicaps. In the right corner we have Steven "Earl of Painsington" Chambers, famous for tickling the underside of oppenents knees and multiple crotch punches. Residing over today's battle for glory? The wonderful Lauren Wiest, whose equal distaste for each contender will prove that anything goes in the ring. Topics of Confrontation: Steven goes Motelling, Eric meets the Muppets at Seattle EMP/SciFi Museum, Lauren believes she is a God, last weeks Celebrity Hslocaust (MJ, Ed Macmahon, Billy Mays, etc, etc). Lauren's photo-stylings, The Oakland A's, 'The Right Stuff', Kevin Smith Movies (shelf life?), 'Veronica Mars', drinking the 'Lost' Kool-Aid, Disney's 'Frog Prince' and Voodoo in the pictures, 'Donnie Brasco', Joe Kubert, 'Howling Commandos' and the conclusion of 'Messiah War'. Generally a fight like this would have a bad-ass soundtrack of Disturbed, Metallica, Slipknot, and Mudvayne. But instead, the rhythmattic punches shall be accompanied by: Chris Burke and His Band, The Melvins, Zombi, Isis and Iron Maiden. So if blood does you good, then bathe in an hour of us. ----------- We need iTUNES reviews...write one!!!!!
EP 25: "the Search for Steve"

Excerpt from chapter 1:

Eric was sitting in front of his computer, crying softly. He had attempted to skype his podcast-mate Steven Earl, but to no avail. He was also crying because he had exhausted his "Skype sounds like an STD" joke and knows he will never be able to use it again. It struck him like a ton of bricks,he needed to find Steve to get their beloved podcast 'Long Distance Relationship' back on track. So Eric decided to kill 2 birds with one stone, he would call his old friend, D'artagnan Luna and they would pile into D'art's pickup and travel the country looking for Steven, that lost Port-o-wop.

Along the way they have many adventures and discussions: '10 Things you can't say on a dinner date', window shopping for whores, fatherhood, Eric goes on an adventure by test tasting an arsenal of decades old booze, and current events.

They also discuss various forms of media: Smurf porn, Star Trek, Berry Gordy's 'The Last Dragon', Bill Mahar.

For their romping, cross-country adventure, they listen to a head bobbing mix of classic tunes by Berlin, The Bangles, Gorillaz and, of course, Billy Shatner.

So enjoy a different take on LDR this week, and bring your penecillin.

PROPOSED NICKELODEON COMMERCIAL FOR THE
LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP

A boy plays in his front yard. He hears soft music down the street. He turns to yell at his mom in the house.

BOY:

"Do you hear that? That's right, it's the nostalgic tinkle of the LDR Podcast Truck!!!! Mom can we run after it and buy a podcast? No I don't need your purse, it's free!!! No I don't need to wear my stupid f**king helmet! I'm not gonna fall down!!!! God Mah, leave me alone!!!"

"This is my favorite part of the week, when the Saints of Industry, Steven Earl Chambers and Eric Anderson roll their dingy van down our street, playing that titillating seduction music, calling all the kids to the street corner, to peak into their bag of tricks! This week, there are 4 flavors to enjoy!!! I couldn't be more excited!!! Even though I just fell in Mr. McGreggor's rose bush and am bleeding... wait up LDR truck! Wait for me!!!!"

NARRATOR:
The 4 flavors of LDR:

Storytelling:
Eric is running the gamut of eating disorders, Steve's making a rent check outta 15 cents, Lauren Dub visits Tacompton, Bar Hopping in Sacramento to the Shady Lady, Mexican Food across the West Coast (spoiler: it gets better the more south you go).

Watching:
"SLC Punk"," Drag Me to Hell", Bram Stoker's" Dracula", Jackson's "King Kong", "Step Brothers", "Son of Ranbow", and the deaths Steven would die before re-watching "Wolverine". Also, "Over the Top", Best Week Ever, The Soup, Mr. Show and the "Rocky "Series.

Listen:
Peaches Vs. G G Allin : Who leaves insulted? Grizzly Bear, King Crimson, Mark Lanagan Love (Desert Sessions, Gutter Twins, Queens of the Stoned Age). Podcasts: "WFMU's Best Show", "Comedy Death Ray", "Adam Corrolla".

Read:
A Charlie Huston sequel, Morrison and Quitely's "Batman and Robin", "New Avengers", "Thor" (Brannagh's movie). We have a shared resurgence of "Green Lantern" in preparation for 'Blackest Night'. We discuss Rebirth until current and give props to Johns, Gleason, Acuna, and Bianci. Eric finishes is 40 oz Pabst Blue Ribbon during this discussion and has a drunken nerdgasm over how amazing this series is right now.

BOY:
"That was a blast! Thanks LDR! Can't wait to taste you again next week!"

EP 22: "KILLMAD"

This week, on your beloved LRD, the nice guys drink gasoline and smash a few windows. They're red blooded ragin' mad. With a sound track packed with Slayer, Botch, Fugazi, Lightning Bolt, Hella you know they're ready to rip their sleeves off and do some good old fashion ditch dumpin! Steven Earl got mugged and Eric's got some work bitching to do and they are KILLMAD.

TORTURED TALES!
Steve retells the chilling story of one man, a mugger, and an iPHONE in a subway. Eric throws a molotov cocktail into his professional future by talking trash about a coworker on the internet. Who cares?!!!! He don't!!! But then things get much more pleasant as Steve find's God at the Booneville Beerfest; or rather a pack of goats that give him one moment of pure peace. They speak of beer, a Christmas Sweater party, and Sacramento nights. And then Eric walks us through a lovely spring day at the Twin PEaks waterfall. Well, suddenly the bitter blood rage has passed into a stream of tranquility. Huh.

VIOLENT VIEWINGS!

Steve discusses 'Star Trek', Eric hasn't seen it yet. But, really when it comes to Star Trek, Steve's opinion trumps all. Eric and Steve love 'Rescue Me'. Also, Anime hate and Miyazaki love.

FUNNY BOOK FESTERING!

The can of worms that is 'Messiah Complex'. Eric wants to line a devil-falcon's cage with the latest issue of "Buffy: Season 8".

So I guess things make a dramatic upswing at some point in this special 'Killmad' episode of Long Distance Relationship. Its all a lot more pleasant than I built it up to be.

Ep 19: LIVE FROM THE BATHHOUSE

Minutes taken from the 4/14 LDR meeting.
-Representatives present: Steven Earl Chambers (secretary) and Eric
Anderson (president/ dictator-for-life-)
-Purpose for meeting: To metaphorically split the world's skull plates
with the hammer of strong conversation. And also to shoot spit-balls at
Suzie Derkins.
-Location: Treehouse.
-Article 1: Storytelling
Rep. Chambers recounts going to the A's home opener as well as a very
sexy bath house, and seeing Mexican Steve away at the hipster meltdown.
He also discusses why the Yankees and Red Sox are poxes among men. Eric
realizes that Steven turns into the Simpsons' comic
book guy when discussing sports (i.e. a total dick). Rep. Anderson
talks about the benefits of having children for tax purposes. Kids Vs.
Dogs: What gets you more chicks? And an important economic address by
Joe the Grocer.
-Article 2: Music
Neurosis: Souls At Zero is a great record. 'Outside Lands' tour dies a
slow death thanks to Pearl Jam and Dave Matthews Band. Why Eddie Vedder
and Mariah Carey suck for the same reasons. Also, 'Gay Fish'.
Article 3: Movies, TV
'Rescue Me', BSG 'Caprica', 'South Park'. Also we actually both have
watched a movie at the same time. We observe and report "Observe and
Report".
-Article 4: Comics Books
'Messiah War' and Kyle and Yost, Martin and Robinson do wonders to
Captain America, and the great 'War of Kings' prompts a discussion on
Darkhawk, Ascension and Pelletier's proficiency for space.
-Conclusion: Representatives have agreed to duel in the "Death
Colloseum" for fun.

EP 16: A Fleet's Finale, Filth, and F**K Songs.

Re: Most Offensive Episode Ever. Hello, this is Mitch Steinberg. Public relations attorney to the hit Podcast "Long Distant Friends". I am proud to introduce the newest episode in the LDR saga!!! I feel it is my duty to warn you that this week, we have invited a very special guest on the how: Mr. Brad Franklin. And,well, frankly, Mr. Franklin has pushed the show into the dirtiest, grimiest, and funniest territory it has been in yet. Of course, LDR is all about free speech, so we welcome Brad's devilry. But be warned: homosexuals, heterosexuals , the developmentally disabled, the <city w:st="on"><place w:st="on">Anderson</place></city> family, mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters, the employed and unemployed, various races and creeds, and the usual slew of the politically correct will find this episode to be a trough of filth. Of course it is all in good fun.

-Movies/ Tv Discussed: Hear revelations and spoilers as they say fare-thee-well to "Battlestar Galactica." Other talks include "<placename w:st="on">Lonely</placename> <placetype w:st="on">Island</placetype>", "Breaking Bad" Vs. "Mad Men" again, "<place w:st="on"><placename w:st="on">South</placename> <placetype w:st="on">Park</placetype></place>", "Frisky Dingo", Eric watches the "Watchmen", finally, and the amazing new film, "Nannerpuss".

-Music Roundtable: Bonnie Prince Billy and En Vogue. The "NINJA" tour sampler (Nine Inch Nails, Jane's Addiction, Street Sweeper). Unity over disdain for Jane's Addiction.

-Comic Book-Pro-Quo: Billy Tan's Excellent Adventure. D.C.'s shortcomings(R.I.P., Final Crisis) and a few hits (all things Geoff Johns). Marvel Space-scapades (from cosmic awareness, to Ego The Living Planet) and The stealing comics online debate. Jonathan Ames "The Alcoholic" and Ben Snakepit's "Ben Snakepit".

-The beginning of the end of "Crenshaw" the hit radio show.

So enjoy. And please, if you love the 1st Amendment, don't get f**kin offended. Love, Mitch Steinberg. iTUNES exists! We are on it! Subscribe and write us an iTUNES review.
Ep.11 'Return of the Macks'

Two weeks off and Eric Anderson and Steven Earl Chambers are back at it, returning the show to true form after two excellent guests. And by return I mean they pack fast paced opinions, reviews, and tales of yore to the brim of this 1.5 hour podcast. And the sounds quality is still aces! So grab a Surge and some Pepperoni Combos and hunker down for the following journey:

- Sail into to Port 'o' Tales and hear Eric explain moving and his new home, his new job and the dangerous minds within, Steven explains that carrying alcohol in public really IS against the law, Eric and Steven talk about being the oldest gents at underage parties, Washington Liquor Law, the SF Barley Wine Festival, The Sandbaggin MT and Eric's unconscious Catholic-Jew Guilt, and Steven's Night Terrors.

- Hike to the Tip Top of Mount RagnaROCK and listen to us listen to Murder City Devils live and in the past, Suicide, early Ought Hip Hop (Def Jux), and ManOWar Vs. Goblin Cock (Serious Metal Vs. Joke Metal)

- Swim in the crystal waters of the Motion Ocean (PICTURES that is) and dry off with our talk of Coraline in 333DDD, Friday the 13th the remake (and What's Wrong with Horror Movies in the 00's?), The final discussion of Cobra and Eric's Action Poem about it, the glorious river of work that is Deadwood and why Chambers needs to watch it, and finally, take a ride back to dry land on the Spoiler Express as we share multiple nerdgasms over the state of things on the Battlestar named Galactica.

- Strap on your spandex and messenger bag and ride your speed bike down Comic Book Hill, as we rig our spokes with: Dark Reign His and Lows, Remender's Punisher and impending Fantastic Four, Daniel Way's Deadpool, Ennis and Wolfer and Waller's Streets of Glory, Robinson and Sadowski's JSA, and Old Man Logan.

So enjoy your stay in the Long Distance Relationship. Don't bring home any of our native monkeys as pets. Its against the law, God Damn it.

EP 10: Blood is thicker then Pabst - The Steven Earl and Greg Arthur Chambers episode

It was bound to happen!
No one is safe!
Lock up your Grandmothers and Aunts!

Prepare
your self dear listeners, for a trip down the minds of the Brothers
Chambers. Calling in from flat Chico California, my little brother was
the guest host for this episode. At only 22, he is wise and surly
beyond his years. Looks like a rapier wit runs in the family as well. A
shame I got all the looks though. This one is a bit late (but extra
long), I have been sick as a dog. You could probably build a snowman
with all the snot I just coughed up in the shower. I did, and I named
it Eric. That's right, this is another episode without Eric, seeing as
he just got the Internet again up there in Seattle about two days ago.
He will be back next week. And the week after that I believe we will
have a Nicaraguan woman joining us. Between the Swedes, The Portuguese,
the Bohemian, and the upcoming Nicaraguans, this show is becoming a
regular deck of the Original Star Trek.

We discuss:
A day
in the life of a Chico student, Chico's STD rate, why Chico is terrible
and also it's perks, Our living Grandfather's interesting points of view
about his fellow man, Our deceased Grandfather's amazing temper, his
brother in Law's Amazing shoeless fist fight, many trips down memory
lane that involve us and others that involve our relatives, Our
homeland's cooking habits, our Mom's power with nostalgia, Greg's Jay
Leno-esque collection of run down cars, his new found love of Colombian
women... which leads me to believe he has a checklist somewhere. And
there is sports talk... from about minute 18 to minute 45 or so it is
all:

SPORTS!
Barry Bonds new found shame, the 49ers foundation, the Revolving
Raiders coach door, KHTK Sports talk 1140 and the amazing Grant Napier,
the Glory days of the Sacramento Kings, The coming Glory Days of our
Beloved Oakland A's, the Shame of the Detroit Lyon's and previous
perfect season letdowns, and of course some Superbowl talk.

Stuff for the eyeballs:
Charlie Huston's caught Stealing and Greg's various literature classes.

Stuff for the ear canals:
Some Boss talk. We touch on Nick Cave videos and of course sneak some
Willie, Cash, and Merle talk in there as well. I think we talk about
Merle... it usually is the subject of 1 in 3 of all our phone calls. As
well as tunes by Willie, Bob Wills, Nick Cave, Faith no more, and I
finally sneak Metallica in. Eric is shaking his fist in anger right
now.

So enjoy the brother banter. And those hoping for a bloodbath, we kept the politics talk to a bare minimum... sorry!

Ep8: 'Good Riddance to Bad Rubbish'

This weeks episode is dedicated to Steve's new iPhone that made recording
this weeks episode that much easier (and fun, Steve got to record it in
a San Francisco alley), but made listening to this weeks episode a tad
bit harder then usual. Skype plus Iphone don't mix. BUT FEAR NOT. He
has a plan for the next episode where he will come through clear as a
bell - and Eric won't even be part of it! That's right, this is an open
call for guest hosts for the next two weeks while Eric makes the move.
Like a drunken husband that always promises to lay off the sauce but
never does, Steve swears he will get his time traveling audio recording
problems fixed. We are joined by a veteran friend and legal eagle Jared
Swanson as he brings his unique opinions to the table from the great
state of Nevada. So be prepared
because this was recorded on Inauguration Night, so emotions are high
and spirits are flowing. We make love to the following notions:
-Our
new President and some dissenters, Eric's moving to another
state so the show will be an even longer distance relationship, Jared's attempts at getting into law school ,Jared and Eric get all
sappy , Rodney Carrington hate is brought up AGAIN. Steve drops out of
the show for about a half hour while a homeless man desecrates the
street in front of his very eyes. We discuss Steve's need to impress no
one but himself while he isn't there. And there is a CPS report.
-VOLUPTUOUS VIEWINGS: The
Curious Case of Benjamin Button (which got a Best Picture nom and Dark
Knight didn't... NO JUSTICE!!), Roadhouse, Wall-E (again Jesus we need
to watch more movies), 30 Rock and the quotable Jack Dounage, a
retroactive Oscar for Mickey Rourke, and the
return of Battlestar Galactica; and Eric recites his first Action Poem:
'Tango and Cash'
-TANTALIZING TUNES: David Bowie (and even though Steve
drops out this part, he agrees that modern love is a terrible song -
but still fucking fantastic. The fact that we even attempt to have a
factual Bowie discussion without Steve around is futile at best), Tom
Waits, Kanye West
and the brutal death of the vocoder and then Jared calls out T-Pain for
a fight
-REWARDING READINGS: 'The Dirt', 'Superman and the Bottle City
of Kandor' and Steve gives his follow-up to Azzarello's 'The Joker'

So
enjoy our nonsense once again! We love your iTunes reviews, keep em
coming.

And again, sorry about Steve's underwater audio. He has 1 week to get
it together or he is getting replaced with sound bites of Bob Uecker.

AUDIO PROBLEMS FIXED... well kind of. So rest easy loyal listeners while Steve Earl and Eric meet up over a digital bridge and plunge into the following lake:
-Late Night Break-Ins, Role Playing games and childhood regret, Eric spins depressing yarns of SADolescence, awkward family moments, awkward ex-boyfriend moments, detailed instructions for attending San Francisco's Academy of Science Museum, the awesomness of Mickey Rourke and his debt to Axl Rose, An old friend from Portland, The Right Spot, Sharks VS Seagulls, Record Store Clerk Elitism, Russian Telepathic Dogs, no feedback and an enticing plea for more feedback (i.e. iTunes reviews, write them already, Christ almighty we are begging here. Mickey Rourke would be ashamed) And I swear, Steve will buy a new mic this week and lose his tin can transmission

-Gran Torino, Wrestler aftermath, and one of the worst films ever made (David Bowie's in it and its not fire Walk With me, the prestige, or any of his other GOOD movies)

-The Ramshackle Romeos, Papa M, Shrinebuilder (or two boys getting excited about hearing it), good old Willie Nelson.

-Brubaker and Phillips Incognito. SCALPED (Steve doesn't just wax poetic, he waxes f***ing Illiad) WAR OF KINGS, and Superman/Batman: The Search For Kryptonite (how would a DC universe film director make a Batman film? Kind of like Schumaker would).

So enjoy our fall into the abyss and try not to get splashed.

Episode 6: The Calvary and the Clown

-This week on there is an all night gab fest on L.D.R. Its a party! So bring your hair curlers and jock jam cds, and don't forget your tube socks cuz Dad's got Skinamax! We have a guest skype in! Thats right this week we're hanging with our oft-referenced Marc Branstad and it seems that Steve is the problem with the audio because the rest of us sound great and he still sounds like he is broadcasting from the bottom of a well. Buy a new microphone Chambers! Sorry about the audio dropout in the last segment folks. But stick around till the end, it is a meaty stew through and through.

-We dish about: - Ratings and car wash challenges, New Years Eve, South Sac Gang Fights, Work and what may be worse then getting laid off (Actually day 2 of the new deal wasn't half bad... part of that had to do with the fact that Mexican Steve finally returned from NY. Holy Crap, we need to get him on here for some NY stories - note to self) The painful never ending VH1 reality cycle, Feedback, Steve's magic ipod hat trick, Memories of a good man, and subtle references to our torrid pasts. Not to mention, the hit segment: 'Eric Gets Another Stain on his CPS Report"

-'The Wrestler' and 'X-Files' Steve gets all weepy at Dinosaurs, Rancid and MANOWAR with a Twist of Rob Halford's sexuality (with the worst end credits ever as a ex Limit Soldier freestyles over a M.P. classic), 'Kavalier and Klay', 'Jonah Hex', and 'Northlanders'

-Good times are had and the conversation stays interesting even when Eric leaves for 10 minutes to play drunken Hot Potato with a baby. Enjoy and if you do (or don't) write an iTunes review. That'd be great!

Episode 5: 'Triumph of the Lethargic'

The adventures of the Two Oaks continue in this weeks episode as Eric rips off the name of a good band's not so good side project as the title of this episode and he really needs to cut down on the clicks of a mouse because the mic pics it up. Christ almighty, you think he would have it figured it out by episode 5 where they attempt to put their post-christmas pieces back together.
-The following flags are run up the pole to see if salute them: - Christmas gifts - Public transportation - Back to the Future I vs. II, Gremlins II - Silver Age Green Lantern, Countdown to Mystery, Omega the Unkown, Thor - Serge Gainsberg/ Jane Berkin, Wolves in the Throneroom, and Dimmu Borgir.
- We discuss Eric's inability to compliment his wife properly during pregnancy, Christmas adventures in Sacramento (with a South Sac addendum next week - YIKES), Steve's nomadic lifestyle, Steve's week off from work (well it was a week off, they called him in yesterday as predicted), MB is called out and challgenged, Michaloeb, Eugene Chambers, Steve laments a bit - SHOCKING!, On location reporting and some feedback from our ever so appriciated audiance.
-They offer up their insightful year in review. And by year, we mean the actual year 2008. Fuck you 2008, you were nothing but cruelty wrapped up in roses. Chinese Democracy indeed.
-Crenshaw returns!
Enjoy.

Episode 4: 'Steve's Anti-Life Chili'

-In this special holiday episode, Eric 'Locked Down' Anderson and Steven Earl 'Uncle Sticky' Chambers present to you and yours an hour of important nonsense. And with 2 very special guests: Tyler Loughlin (The Instigator) and Sarah (The Mascot) Fodge. Roomate Metal Rob has a word as well.
-Your hosts will rip your skull open and jam the following topics into your brain all while having a chili cook off go on in the background:

- Child abuse, Role Models, Tall blondes, Dark Knight, Wall-E, Tekkon Kinkreet, DC Animated Series

- Mogwai, High on Fire, and Byrne/Eno

- More Goon and Fear Agent love, Ex Machina, Crises.
-Tyler has a secret shame that he shares with all of us, cocain is thought to be found on nail clippers, but it turns out to be something much less incriminating - the real question is why does tyler know what deoderant tastes like. Our heroes give you their year end wraps-ups except for Eric who had no idea he needed to prepare a list and just kind of pussies out of the whole thing. Stupid Eric. Stick in the Mud.
-Leave an itunes review, or post a message on the libsyn page. Also, email suggestions and comments to longdistancerelationship@gmail.com.
-And no 'Crenshaw' this week. Writers strike. Will return to soon, you think such high class radio theater writes itself?
-I love the T2 score so much.

I have no idea what happened to the show notes for this one. Eric and I sat in the same room with a bottle of Rebel yell the night before T-giving. Dirty Harry, The New Guns and Roses (which upon further reflection I have decided I enjoy, even though I know I shouldn't), babies, Uptight old Rocklin ladies, Eric's loathing for his job, and much much more are discussed in a fashion that you might be able to almost call a conversation. You know, I think Lennox was in the room for some of it as well, and that just seems wrong. Can CPS build a case off of internet yammering?
