Two oaks of men cross cultural and geographical divides to discuss these turbulent times as only they can. Followed by media discussions that are more man then a Judas Priest show. All this and an original Noir Radio Show to boot!

From "The Podcast Archive Evaluation Vol. 6, 2009" "...and America's favorite nonsense-cast 'Long distance Relationship' hit their peak in episode 35. Their storytelling was so revealing that in just listening to their tales of woe and love THEY WILL SHOW YOU WHAT THE HUMAN SOUL MEANS. Their opinions of music and movies will make you appreciate art like it was a beam from heaven. And they end the episode by teleporting right next to each other and battling to the death using nothing but a butter knife and a candle. The hosts of LDR would like to apologize to readers. This weeks liner notes are going to be super lame, as we are both on planes by the time this hits the inter-waves. We don't have the sponsorships or access to unholy magics to raise Hemingway from the grave to write our show notes like some other big budget podcasts (we're looking at you, Paracast.) So, without further ado: STORIES: -Napping Steven Earl gets bum rushed in a park. This causes him to lose his wallet. A DMV line waits eagerly for him. -Songs to total your car to. -Steve swindles his way into NYC. -Steve grows ovaries while watching football. -Eric couldn't be more sick of teenagers. -Steve explains how Soft Core Porn is the key to a happy marriage. MUSIC: -The boys review the new Black Heart Procession album ("6"), and a take a trip through the BHP family. - Musings about Rancid's most recent release. -Eric breaks down the deaths of Biggie and Pac. FILMS: -'Nothing But Trouble' -'Innocent Blood' and the films of John Landis. -'Mad Men', 'Dexter' and more on the phenom 'True Blood' (not the primetime tennis comedy 'Phenom') COMICS: -Thor Annual and Peter Milligan. ---- follow us on TWITTER. Dearest Whiskey Gods: Steven Earl and Eric have always had faith in your treasures and been loyal acolytes. This week, we are joined by Gregory Chambers in our fellowship of worship. Eric takes a seat in the peanut gallery and the Brothers McChambers provide the greatest bulk of oration. You are spiteful and vengeful and we fear you. We look to your gifts of false confidence and temporary invulnerability as we offer up a bounty of offerings in addition to our usual collection baskets full of cash and dignity. This week, we have placed the following sacrifices onto the Altar of Evan Williams: Stories: Greg spends his Labor Day floating down a river of beer and sees an uneven number of breasts. Steven has a night of the Holy W and Metal and ends the nights with a wet dream, so to speak. Eric teaches 6 year olds high stakes games of chance. We also dissect more criticisms of our show thanks to the good folks at 'Edgy Podcast Reviews'. Films: "The Hammer". We still haven't seen "Inglorious Basterds" but we do take a moment to discuss our favorite Tarentino movies. "The Longest Day". "The Big Blue". Scriptures: Daredevil. Sports: Prince Fielder's shenanigans. The futures of the Brothers McChambers' Bay Area sport teams. Also, a tale about when Steve and Greg went into a night club and met Rollie Fingers. Then, to their surprise, Fingers beat them, and that made them love him even more. Hymns of Faith: Grayceon, Gorgoroth, Raekwon, and Johnny Cash. Thank you for accepting our sacrifices, Whiskey Gods. As usual we will expect your return to be lacking in comparison to our offerings. --------------- Listen to the review of our show at: edgypodcastreviews.com Become our facebook fan at: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Long-Distance-Relationship/62737115063?ref=nf Follow us on Twitter!

Dear Cultural Society of America, Hello. My name is Long Distance Relationship. I am the audible love child of two drunkards that are the best of friends. I am a podcast that chronicles their lives apart and attempts to solidify their future in the cement of time. I am the story of America, The Plight of the Oppressed, The Struggle of Man. I am the LDR Podcast. Each week, I will enrich the listeners with spirited tales of people living lives. I will judges mediums such as comics, films, and music. But mostly, I will judge other people. People who are less cool than the concept of I. This week, I will water the fertilizer of man with the following droplets: STORYTELLING: Steve's eternal struggle for home internet, Eric's big career....change, Methheads on the 49, Eric's classic betrayal, sneaking a peak at scrambled SPICE CHANNEL, Juggalo Regulations, sleep paralysis and the existence of extra-terrastials, la bonita mamasita, and three Mr. Show references (can you spot them all ?). MOVIES: "Avatar" and James Cameron's body of work, "true Lies", "The Long Goodbye", "Sorcerer", "District 9", Jeff Ross and the "Comedy Central Roast". COMICS: "Captain America: Truth", "Elephantmen" and "Hipflask", Brubaker's "Marvels Project". Plus two heated nerd-offs. They're like stand-offs, only with nerds: "Marvel's penchant for reality", and "Spider-Man is cool or isn't he". SOUNDTRACK: Pissed Pants, Peter Gabriel, Peter and the Wolf, Prefuse 73, Method Man, Tangerine Dream. So please consider my proposition to make myself, the LDR podcast, mandatory for all American citizens in an attempt to force a level of culture amongst all the citizens of this great country. Thank you. LDR. _PROPOSAL DENIED_ Follow us on twitter. WRITE ITUNES REVIEWS WE NEED THEM SO STRANGERS CAN BE MOLESTED BY OUR WORDS!!!! I know the feeling. You, loyal listeners, have awoken every morning for the month of June excited. You have rushed downstairs in your robe and slippers. You have forgotten meals out of sheer anticipation. You would sit in front of your computer and wait for it to load up. you load up iTUNES. "It's gotta be hear today!" you think to yourself. But disappointment strikes. No new episode of Long Distance Relationship. I am sorry we made your July's suck so much. But we did it. We took a break, met each other face to face, mind melded, hashed out some plans, and have returned with a refreshingly new episode!!! As always, our bag of tricks is loaded: - STORYTELLING: We painstakingly read and critique listener feedback. The now-infamous 'Jonas Brothers Prank'. Eric's Facebook/ Twitter etiquette. It is revealed that both hosts called sex lines when they were children. Steve's iPHONE curse. Eric gets another stain on his CPS report (poor Lennox). The funny world of stereotypes, and the people that fulfill them. Steve plans for his 30th birthday party and how it will effect some lucky lady out there. -MUSIC: Pogues, Down, Made Out of Babies, Percee P, Depeche Mode, Battle of Mice, Love and Rockets, Judas Priest. -MOVIES/TV: The State is on DVD. John Hughes goes to that big White Castle in the sky. Public Enemies. Harry Potter 6. Michael Mann movies. Primer. Gandolfini spotting. -BOOKS/COMICS: Steve reads an Grown Up book but never gives a title. 'The Brothers Karamazov'. 'Agents of Atlas'. How 'Booster Gold' can make sense of the DCU. 'Captain America Reborn' and the future of the book. 'Darkhawk/ Ascension'. Brubaker's crime books. 'The Goon/ Deathklock' and Powell/ComicCon autographs. The art of Wed. Comics, love for Brujemo and Sooks. Enjoy. Thanks you for sticking with us!!! Follow us on Twitter.
